E-Voting Tutorial

Voting in Libraries Elections using WebCT

The Libraries Committee on Elections has replaced the paper ballot with an electronic one. This new ballot is secure, private, and is available online through WebCT.

After voting in an election opens, go to http://webct.uga.edu and log in using your UGA MyID and password.

Once you get to the opening page, click on the Ballot icon. Below is the icon used for the Spring ballot.

The ballot will open in a new window. Below is an example of the electronic ballot. When you chose your answer, to either vote for one of the options provided, or to provide a Write-In response, remember to click "Save answer" under EACH QUESTION ON THE BALLOT. If you do not click "Save answer", your ballot will not be counted.

Once you click on "Save Answer", a check will appear in the Question Status box to the right under the number of the corresponding part. Before you leave the ballot page when you finished casting your votes, remember to check and make sure all of the different parts are showing "Answered."

If you choose to Write-In your vote instead of choosing one of the options provided, you must choose "D : None of the above" AND click "Save Answer." Then you can Write-in your vote in the space provided in the next question. If you are placing a Write-in vote, you must write something, AND CLICK "Save Answer." YOU MUST CLICK "Save Answer" BOTH TIMES FOR YOUR WRITE IN VOTE TO COUNT!

When you finish voting, and you have clicked "Save Answer" for all the different parts of the ballot, you must click "Finish" at the bottom of the screen to cast your ballot. After you click "Finish", you're done!
